Sync takes forever, even on the office WiFi. Menu buttons buried. Long lag when tapping buttons before result. Swiping instead of tapping is terrible. Won't let me time out of jobs, I click the button multiple times, I have to edit the work order in the office software and resync in order to be able to time into the next work order. The old app was great. They need to bring much of that functionality to this new app. The office part is glacially slow. Running out of characters in this box.
Glitches abound in this tragedy of a productivity app. They made a whole new app and didn't even bother to try and add some very highly requested features. You can still download the old app. It works better and is easier to use. You just need to be able to find it.
I switched from the old app so that we could take payments in the field, integrate into hindsight and QuickBooks. Now that I've bought into that process Im stuck with this app that's not very good. Swiping on icons to access them instead of tapping is terrible. Also the parts menu is cumbersome because every time you enter a new part it brings you back to the main parts screen instead of leaving you in the category you were in like the old app. Not to mention calculating time on site incorrectly
App is simply awful. Whoever designed this version doesnt seem to understand the tech in the field. Menus are hard to navigate and many of the most used functions are buried layers deep. Buttons are unresponsive and for some stupid reason you have to press and slide some of the simplest most basic of options. Nearly impossible with wet dirty hands. Looking for a better solution. Rezdy to buy an old tablet so I can run the older version. IF YOU CAN STILL RUN 9.79 DO NOT UPGRADE!

Legacy app was far better. Still in the works and doesn't have full capability of previous app.
Upgraded my tablet and was forced to upgrade from the old usable version with the black background to the new confusing version. They call this an upgrade? With the old app I had buttons to clock in and clock out. Simple. Now I've got to swipe this and click that. I need a timecard not a swipe left app! Impossible to navigate. Menus so deep you get lost trying to find the simplest information. Loading the old app on an old tablet I guess is the only solution. Looking at alternatives like Quicken
Previously used legacy app on all our tablets. Updated to new version thinking it would be an improved experience. Spoke to support about improving UI for technicians' ease of use over last 6 years or so since our company has been with them with zero improvement to the UI. Not sure where our subscription money goes, but already looking for alternatives. Clunky, buggy software which is a headache to setup and use day-to-day as a tech or in the office.
App changed no instruction on where everything went to after finding some of the hind fields can not use them as the app locks you out. So now back to hand writing paper work for each job. Call support two days ago and still NO CALL BACK . Customer support sucks and lacking. Company needs to step up to 2019 not 1999.

Awesome for scheduling and tracking customer information such as controller locations and zone counts. Extremely customizable database. This app adds to the power of the HindSite program. Being able to access the complete database in a user friendly interface is a time saver for our guys in the field.
